Poppy is a silver spotted Bengal girl of 11th generation from Born To Be Kind Bengals in Hungary. She brings entirely new lines to my program with Hungarian, Dutch, Canadian, American and Korean heritage. She also brings exciting colour genetics as her sire Uno carries for C/cs (the Siamese colourpoint gene) and Apb/A (the ALC Agouti gene) whilst her dam carries or A/a (the non-Agouti gene). Therefore Poppy may carry for Apb (charcoal), a (melanistic) and Cs (snow).
Poppy is a beautiful girl with wild looks. She is nicely proportioned with a long body, medium length tail and small head. She has large black outlined rosetted spots against a clear white background. Her coat is incredibly soft and highly glittered.
Poppy has a striking face with very expressive nocturnal eyes. Her overall head and profile could be better but I am hoping to correct this in her kittens when she is mated to the right boy with better head type.
Following a long journey to get to me, Poppy arrived very scared and timid. Her breeder assured me that this was not her true personalty and she was correct. After around six months of hard work and determination, I finally won Poppy over and we became friends. She will now happily accept love and affection.
With both her litters, Poppy has allowed me to be fully involved with the births. I feel we have a mutual appreciation for each other and we continue to strengthen our bond.
Poppy is registered active with The International Cat Association:
Poppy is PK Def N/N normal and PRA-b normal by parentage (certificates available to view).
